Vincent bites back to win 125 thriller

Frenchman Arnaud Vincent won the Cinzano British Grand Prix, despite taking the start from the 16th position. After a blazing start, Vincent joined the front group on lap 4. Then, the Aprilia rider made his way to victory ahead of Dani Pedrosa, on the French national day.

Youichi Ui was one of the early leader, but the Japanese rider wasn´t able to keep up the front runners pace and eventually finished in 8th. Dani Pedrosa overtook the Derbi rider to take the lead, until being relegated to second by Lucio Cecchinello. The Italian crashed out three laps to the finish, as he was fighting for victory in a group reduced to four riders : himself, Vincent, Pedrosa and Poggiali. Azuma was then a lonely fifth and finished fourth after Cecchinello retired.

The result of the Cinzano British Grand Prix tightened the standings as Poggiali keeps the lead with a 16 points lead over Pedrosa, while Vincent is only 3 points behind the Spaniard.
