Arnaud Vincent picks up third season win

Frenchman Arnaud Vincent took his second consecutive win at the Sachsenring, and made up ground on Poggiali in the World Championship standings. Vincent dominated the race from the start to the checkered flag, as Alex de Angelis, who has been on his tail all race long, failed to take the lead on the last lap. Local hero Steve Jenkner made it on the podium for the third time this year.

World reigning Champion Manuel Poggiali had to work his way through after a poor start. The fiery San Marino-born rider managed to reach the riders of the chasing group who were duking it out for the podium. The Gilera rider was third on the last lap, but Steve Jenkner snatched the third position on the finish line.

Last year winner, Simone Sanna, finished ahead of Pedrosa who´s now third behind Vincent in the World Championship standings, as this win allowed Arnaud Vincent to take second and reduce Poggiali´s win to seven points.
