A buoyant Arnaud Vincent set to enjoy a well-deserved break

´From the practice sessions, I realized the bike was performing very well, and I had a good feeling. We made steady progress after Donington, where I had been struggling during the qualifying session. In Germany, Aprilia brought us new parts, mainly a new fairing but also engine improvements, and these parts proved to be very efficient. That allowed me to take the pole position´.

´Compared to the British Grand Prix, the race was totally different, as it was more of an attacking race back there. This one was more complicated, more difficult. These kind of races are more tense, as you have to set your pace according to the pit boards. So I knew de Angelis was just behind, but in the end, I managed to claim the victory ahead of him´.

´This year, I had lost some ground to the front runners after a good start, as we had a couple of races hampered by technical glitches and bad luck. So I´m obviously delighted to come back to the front with two wins in a row, and I´m now second in the standings, with only a seven points gap from Poggiali. So we´ll have to keep working like that´. $$$´We have now a four weeks break and I look forward enjoying it. It doesn´t bother me at all in terms of form. I planned to have holidays in the South of France with my girlfriend in August, and I will enjoy doing plenty of activities, like working on my fitness and having a rest, among other things !´.
