Daniel Pedrosa not thinking about the title

Daniel Pedrosa lies 33 points behind Arnaud Vincent in the 125cc World Championship and is the only other rider apart from Manuel Poggiali who can stop the Frenchman. The 17 year old Spaniard has two wins to his name this season and wants to add two more, but insists that he has no thoughts about the title despite his mathematical possibilities.

´There are two races left and the title is out of reach as far as I am concerned so I will not worry myself thinking about it,´ says the youngster. `My objective is to do as well as I possibly can over the next two GPs for my own personal satisfaction and for the team´.

Pedrosa, who has recovered from the minor foot and back injuries he picked up during qualifying in Sepang says he has been surprised by the form of Vincent this year. ´Vincent is obviously the favourite now because he has an important points advantage. I didn´t expect him to be at such a high level this year, when you think about his career up to now. It just goes to show that this championship is very open´.

The Spaniard also added that his Honda has improved throughout the season: ´The bike is better as an overall package. I wouldn´t pinpoint one area that has improved, because everything is better - we have been at the same level as our rivals in this second half of the season. The bike goes better at some circuits rather than others but this happens with every bike´.
