The road to the 125cc World Championship title for Arnaud Vincent

Arnaud Vincent this weekend became the first ever French 125cc World Champion after being the only rider in all three classes of MotoGP to have scored points in every round of the 2002 season.

After finishing last season in tenth place in the championship, Vincent changed team and motorcycle in the winter to ride for the Imola Circuit Exalt Cycle Race team with an Aprilia. The move has paid off with ten podium finishes, including five victories, four second places and one third. Vincent also narrowly missed the rostrum as he finished fourth at Le Mans and Assen.$$$

His worst result came two weeks ago at Motegi when he blew his exhaust and crossed the line in fifteenth, but he also picked up eleventh at Catalunya and ninth at Mugello.
One week after his Japanese catastrophe Vincent responded with victory at Sepang. He took 4th in Phillip Island before securing the title in Valencia with 2nd behind Pedrosa.
