Kiyonari tests RC211V at Clermont Ferrand

Ryuichi Kiyonari has finally had the chance to try out his Honda RC211V before making his debut with Team Telefonica Movistar Honda at Le Mans this weekend The 20 year old Japanese rider, who has previously raced in Supersport and Superbike competitions, took part in a two-day private test at Michelin´s Clermont Ferrand racetrack in France, and had this to say about the 990cc V5 prototype: `The RC 211V is simply an incredible bike. It is amazingly fast and completely different from all the other bikes I raced with until now. I can say I am satisfied with my results, but I need to be patient, because it will take time to get used to this bike and to start going fast the way I wish to.´

Team Manager Fausto Gresini added: `Ryuichi first needs to gain a lot of experience on the RC211V - it is a very powerful bike and very difficult to ride, for this reason we wish him not to push too hard at the beginning. With time he will get to learn his five cylinder and actually, already during these two days of practice, he has made some incredible improvements. My advice for Ryuichi is to be very patient, I believe this is important.´
