Alex De Angelis, 3rd position:

"Today I was closer to my first race win than ever. I tried as hard as I could but on the final lap some problems with my front wheel meant that I could only take third. A podium result is OK though and I am happy to have finished in front of Pedrosa and Perugini for the Championship."

Casey Stoner, 2nd position:

"I got a great slipstream from Alex on the last lap but I did not expect Jorge to come through so fast. I am a little disappointed because I know that if I was fully fit then I would have been in a stronger position to take the win."

Jorge Lorenzo, Winner:

"When I was fastest in warm-up this morning I had a small suspicion that it could be my day. I really wanted to win this race and was pushing very hard every lap. When I was leading in the early stages I thought ‘what are you doing here? This cant be happening'. I then saw my chance on the last lap and went for it. I want to dedicate this win to all those who have supported me."
