Jacque excited about new phase for Kawasaki Racing

In 2006 Olivier Jacque will be one of those spearheading the project of fine tuning and developing the ZX-RR with which Kawasaki Racing will face the upcoming MotoGP World Championship.

"I am particularly happy to continue this collaboration with a team I like very much" stated Jacque, one of the brightest protagonists of the 2005 season after the fantastic second place that he achieved in his debut at the Chinese Grand Prix.

"I believe very much in this factory and their will to ascend in the MotoGP category. The potential that they have is unarguable and the goal that presents itself to us is exciting. I believe in my experience, and a good fine tuning will allow us, like it did last season, to be able to complete a good job and make progress with the bike. There are different tests in the coming months and the calendar is full" the French Rider stated. "The 2006 model which the riders will use will be finished, but above all it is intended that preparation will start on the 800cc model that will be obligatory in 2007, in response to the new regulations which will be put into effect next year in MotoGP"

"The work with Bridgestone, who will again team up with Kawasaki, will be equally important this time, now that there will be many tyre tests. These will be as much for the 2006 model as for that of 2007"

"I will share this task of developing these machines with the Japanese rider Naoki Matsudo, who will do the majority of the Asian tests and will concentrate on testing the reliability"

"My first travels are marked down as being February, in Qatar, and after that Barcelona for the Official Tests. In my schedule some wild card participations are still to be defined throughout the season"

"I am impatient about again getting on the Kawasaki that I had the opportunity to test over four laps in Valencia, which gave me a very positive impression".
