Bautista strenghtens the leadership

Alvaro Bautista added last weekend in Germany another podium place to his impressive top places string and increased the gap to 64 points ahead of Mika Kallio, que suffered some grip problems in his rear tyre and was unable to fight in the leading group.

The Aprilia rider regretted the good chance lost to victor again, but felt satisfied after strenghtening the leadership.

`The race was very hard, I wanted to win but I couldn't at the end. I felt very comfortable with top guys. I tried to escape but it was impossible´, he said. `The last lasp was crazy. Pasini and me touched and finally he took the win by one tenth. Anyway, I'm happy because our main rival, Kallio, finished quite bad and these results let us to increase the advantage´.

After a good start, Red Bull KTM GP 125 rider Mika Kallio was sitting at third place and it looked like it was going to be an exciting race. But already by the third lap hopes of a podium had faded after problems with the back wheel. Mika slipped to eighth place in the laps that followed.

Kallio commented that "I certainly didn't plan it like this. I did have a good start but I was already slipping back in the third lap. I had real problems with the grip going into the left corners. At the moment I really don't know why the problem came up so suddenly and so badly, but my team is looking into it. I'm going to try to shut off a bit in the break until Brno."
