Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol's Márquez led the intermediate class warm up, ahead of Aleix Espargaró and Bradley Smith.

The cool and cloudy 20 minute warm up session ahead of the Gran Premio de Aragón on Sunday saw pole man Marc Márquez continue leading the 600cc field. The young Spaniard’s time of 1'54.234 was 0.394s ahead of Espargaró (Pons HP 40) and 0.759s quicker than Bradley Smith (Tech 3 Racing), the British rider being the last in the field under the 1'55" mark.

Second row starter Stefan Bradl (Viessmann Kiefer Racing) was fourth, with Alex de Angelis (JiR Moto2) in fifth at eight tenths off the leading time. Andrea Iannone (Speed Master), Esteve Rabat (Blusens-STX) and Claudio Corti (Italtrans Racing Team) followed in sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively, with Pol Espargaró (HP Tuenti Speed Up) in ninth at one second off the leading time set by Márquez.

Julian Simon (Mapfre Aspar Team Moto2), who starts from second on the grid was 21st in the session, while third place starter Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing Team) concluded the session in 13th.
