Speedweek: KTM assessing team options in MotoGP™

KTM are considering various team options for their planned arrival in the premier class of MotoGP™ in 2017, regarding a possible direct factory entry or potentially partnering with an existing team.

Pit Beirer, Head of Motorsport at KTM, told Speedweek.com. “At first I shall have meetings with all team owners who are interested. The decision will not be made in the next few months as we only enter in 2017.”

Beirer also admitted that the Ajo Motorsport team, which moves up to field Johann Zarco in Moto2™ in 2015 could be a possible partner for the Austrian factory in the MotoGP class. Ajo has close connections with KTM from running their factory team Moto3 and Speedweek underline his links with partners such as Red Bull and WP suspension.
