There may be a two-week break between the Americas GP and Spanish GP, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s time to rest up for everyone. MotoGP™ factories Aprilia, Ducati, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha are putting in the work with their respective test riders ahead of MotoGP™’s European tour kick off at Jerez at the start of May.
Aprilia Racing Team Gresini’s Aleix Espargaro and Andrea Iannone were back on track at the Circuit of the Americas on Monday, the Italian factory testing a swingarm attachment as they continue to try and close the gap to the front. Test rider Bradley Smith is also in Jerez this week.
Alongside Smith in Jerez is Team Suzuki Ecstar test rider Sylvain Guintoli, the Frenchman posting a picture of his slick new helmet design on Wednesday morning before heading out on track.
Then, at Mugello, Mission Winnow Ducati’s Michele Pirro, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Jonas Folger and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Mika Kallio are treating the Tuscan hills to the sound of MotoGP™ this week before the whole paddock descends there at the start of June.
