LCR E-Team’s Xavier Simeon was the latest guest on Energica’s The Electrifying Podcast, a new podcast from MotoE™’s manufacturer that digs deep into the exciting world of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup. For the second episode they introduced the #CouchLap, which sees riders do an E-Pole style flying lap on the MotoGP™19 video game on their MotoE™ machine.
Simeon has made the switch to Lucio Cecchinello’s squad for the 2020 series, which will see him team up with old friend Nicolo Canepa. Here’s what the Belgian had to say on the switch: “To join Lucio’s team was a good opportunity and honestly the test went quite good. I immediately felt comfortable with the team, they all have a lot of experience and know the Championship well. We did a good laptime, inside the top 5, so that’s positive. It was great to ride the MotoE bike again, I can’t wait for the season to start.
“I’ve known Canepa since I was 16 years-old and we’ve always been our biggest opponents, we’ve always fought against each other. Now after a long time apart, we’re back together fighting but in MotoE and as teammates. We’ve always been good friends and our relationship is really, really good.”
