Miller and Dovizioso leave it late to book a place in Q2

The Ducati pair saw off late charges from Iker Lecuona and Johann Zarco to join the fight for pole position

Pramac Racing's Jack Miller took top spot in Q1 at the Tissot Emilia Romagna and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix and progresses through to the fight for pole position. The Aussie's 1:31.559 was enough to hold on to his place at the top of the timesheets but there was a fierce fight over the final place in Q2, which eventually went the way of MotoGP™ World Championship leader Andrea Dovizioso.

The Italian's final flying lap saw him jump ahead of Red Bull KTM Tech 3's Iker Lecuona, who put in a commendable effort. So did Johann Zarco, with the Esponsorma Racing man picking his stricken Ducati up with only a handful of minutes left and still managing to get a lap in just a tenth shy of Dovizioso.
