Bagnaia declared fit, Raul Fernandez ruled out of Portimao

After a big highside on Saturday, the Italian has been given the green light to ride on Sunday but the Tech3 rookie has been declared unfit

Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia has been declared fit for the Tissot Grand Prix of Portugal following a huge highside during Q1 on Saturday. The Italian was flicked over the top of his GP22 in the early stages of qualifying and was sent to a local hospital for further checks to his right shoulder following the incident.

However, following further checks and a fitness test early on Sunday, the factory Ducati man has been given the green light and will take his place at the back of the grid.

Unfortunately, the MotoGP™ grid will be one rider light after Tech3 KTM Factory Racing's Raul Fernandez was declared unfit following a crash in Q1 on Saturday. The Spaniard, just like Bagnaia, was caught out by a wet patch whilst testing slick tyres for the first time and has sadly suffered a hand injury that will keep him out of Sunday's race.
