Moto2™ and Moto3™ take on Catalunya in private Test

Circuito de Barcelona - Catalunya is the destination as riders seek some improvements ahead of Le Mans

With the weekend off, and following in the footsteps of the premier class, the Moto2™ and Moto3™ classes are taking advantage of their spare time to take stock of their machines and find potential improvements. After MotoGP™’s efforts on Monday in Jerez, the two other categories are further north in Spain at Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya for a private Test on Thursday.

A number of recognisable names and faces are in attendance, with several teams seeing both their riders on track in Moto2™. Elf Marc VDS Racing duo Sam Lowes and Tony Arbolino are joined by Italtrans’ Joe Roberts & Lorenzo Dalla Porta, Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team’s Gabriel Rodrigo & Bo Bendsneyder and Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Augusto Fernandez & Pedro Acosta.

Fermin Aldeguer (Lightech Speed Up), Albert Arenas (Autosolar GASGAS Aspar Team), Jorge Navarro (Flexbox HP40) and Manuel Gonzalez (Yamaha VR46 Master Camp) are also confirmed present. Mooney VR46 Racing Team have also sent Championship leader Celestino Vietti to participate in the intermediate class.

In Moto3™, Jaume Masia & Dani Holgado (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Ryusei Yamanaka (Mt Helmets – MSI), Tatsuki Suzuki (leopard Racing), Sergio Garcia & Izan Guevara (Gaviota GASGAS Aspar Team), Ana Carrasco & David Muñoz (BOE SKX) and Joel Kelso & Kaito Toba (CIP Green Power) have all been spotted spinning some laps.
