Prima Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin has successfully gone under the knife to rectify a right-hand issue that has plagued his 2022 World Championship. The Spaniard had been suffering from nerve issues meaning he began to lose feeling of the hand during some races, with the injury an after-effect of the monster crash at Portimao in 2020 that saw him fracture multiple bones.
However, the issue has now been solved thanks to surgery at the Policlinico di Modena in Italy. Speaking on social media after the operation, the 24-year-old said: "Everything is fine. Thanks to Dr. Tarallo and Ducati for helping me get back to 100%. See you on track soon."
Both Martin and his Prima Pramac Racing squad are confident he will be able to make a full recovery and return to MotoGP™ action next weekend at the German Grand Prix.
