TIME SCHEDULE: Japanese GP

Keep up to date with everything happening at Motegi this weekend as well as when they are on!

The second leg in the year’s only triple-header gets underway this weekend, with the paddock back at Motegi for the first time since 2019. It’s a welcome return the far east, and below you can check out the full schedule for the Motul Grand Prix of Japan.

Thursday sees riders take to the stage to field questions from the media at the pre-race Press Conference as per usual. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™), Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) will be present, and that gets underway at 17:00 local time. A Special Press Conference will then be held directly after at 17:40, with Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP™), Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) attending.

Friday sees our first track action, but with a different schedule to normal. Free Practice doesn’t begin until 13:15 local time, with Moto3™ up first for 40 minutes, before Moto2™ have their run out at 14:10. MotoGP™ concludes the day’s action then at 15:05, with a 1 hour 15 minute FP1.

Prior to FP1, there will be plenty of other events happening through the morning, with a live MotoGP™ Podcast at 10:00 LT, before Ducati Lenovo Team’s Jack Miller sits down with us for a special interview.

Saturday sees a return to normal scheduling, with the lightweight class on track at 09:00 and the premier class finishing the morning sessions at 11:35. After lunch, qualifying gets underway at 12:35 with Moto3™ and then Moto2™, before MotoGP™ have their final Free Practice of the weekend ahead of Q1, which begins at 15:05 LT.

Sunday, as always, is race day! Warm Ups begin at 10:00 and end one hour later, before we see the first lights out at 12:00 LT with Moto3™. Moto2™ are next and they’ll launch from the line at 13:20 before it is main event time. MotoGP™ is go at 15:00!
