Check out some interesting stats that emerged after a sensational weekend at the Sachsenring

What. A. Weekend. The Sachsenring delivered on numerous fronts, including hosting a magnificent victory battle between Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team). Below you can see some of the top stats to emerge from the 2023 German Grand Prix:

233,196 – Over 233,000 people attended the German GP, and nearly 100,000 on Sunday alone. That makes it the biggest crowd MotoGP™ has ever had at the Sachsenring and the best attended sporting event in Germany.

33 – With Jorge Martin, Francesco Bagnaia and Johann Zarco, Ducati is on a streak of 33 MotoGP™ Grand Prix races in a row with at least one rider on the podium.

24 – Bagnaia took his 24th MotoGP™ podium, all with Ducati, and he is now the Ducati rider with the third most podiums in the class behind Casey Stoner (42) and Andrea Dovizioso (40).

19 – Zarco finished P3 in Germany for his 19th MotoGP™ podium and fourth this year along with Argentina (P2), France (P3) and Italy (P3). Zarco is now alone in second on the list of French riders with most podiums in the premier class, behind Fabio Quartararo (29). Zarco also extends his streak as the rider with most podiums without a win in the class, ahead of Colin Edwards on 12.

10 – Martin took his second MotoGP™ win along with Styria 2021, becoming the 10th different Ducati rider to win more than once in the class.

6 – The win for Martin is the sixth for Ducati so far this season, which is already half the number the Bologna factory achieved last year (12).

5 – This is the first Ducati 1-2-3-4-5 and the first for the same manufacturer in MotoGP™ since Honda at the Rio GP back in 2003.

3 + 3 – Both Martin and Zarco have now taken three successive MotoGP™ podiums for the first time.

2 – Martin did the “double”, winning both the Tissot Sprint and the GP race, for the first time. He is the second rider to win both the Sprint and the GP race in the same weekend, along with Bagnaia who has done it twice.

0.064s – Martin took his second MotoGP™ win with a 0.064s margin over Bagnaia, which is it closest winning margin since Aragon last year when Bagnaia finished second, 0.042s off winner Enea Bastianini. It’s also the second closest MotoGP™ finish ever at the Sachsenring after 2003, when it was 0.060s.
