Ogura smashes lap record in heroic return to form

We saw the Ogura of old in Practice 3 as the Japanese rider flew to the top of the timesheets with qualifying just around the corner

Moto2™ is hotting up nicely ahead of Q2, and it was Ai Ogura (IDEMISTU Honda Team Asia) who put down a new lap record with a 1:36.000, a whisker away from the first 1:35s lap set on a Moto2™ machine. 0.250s back from the 2022 title contender was Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) who chipped away at his time to take P2, with Filip Salac (QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2) rounding out the top 3.

Jake Dixon (Inde GASGAS Aspar Team) was the man on form after Practice 2, having dominated the first two sessions. The Brit consolidated P4 overall after Practice 3 and will be joined by Aron Canet (Pons Wegwow Los40), Manuel Gonzalez (Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team), and Alonso Lopez (Beta Tools SpeedUp) who finished 4th, 5th, and 6th respectively. Championship leader Tony Arbolino (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team) didn't make the top 10 but managed to secure a place in Q2 in P11.

Make sure to tune in for Moto2™ qualifying which is at 13:45 local time (GMT +2)
