301: M. Marquez' long wait comes to an end

Check out some of the best stats from the weekend just gone at the Austrian GP

The CryptoDATA Grand Prix of Austria has come and gone, with Ducati Lenovo Team superstar Francesco Bagnaia completing the clean sweep at the Red Bull Ring. Having had time to reflect on another electric round of MotoGP™ action, here are some of the best post-GP stats to sink your teeth into. 

301 – Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) finished 12th and scored four points, which is the first time he crossed the line and scored in the Grand Prix race since the Malaysian GP last year, 301 days ago.

100 – With Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) winning the Moto3™ race, this is the 100th win for KTM in 125cc/Moto3™. 

50 – Bagnaia won the race for the 50th podium of his Grand Prix career. In addition, this is his 27th podium in MotoGP™ and his seventh so far this season which is more than every other rider. Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) is second with five.

50% – Bagnaia has won exactly half of all the MotoGP™ races that have been held so far this season.

36 – With Bagnaia and Bezzecchi, Ducati are on a streak of 36 MotoGP™ Grand Prix races in a row with at least 
one rider on the podium, their record.

16 – Bagnaia took his 16th MotoGP™ win at the Austrian GP and is now the third most successful Italian rider in the premier class. MotoGP™ Legend Valentino Rossi leads with 89 wins ahead of MotoGP™ Legend Giacomo Agostini (68).

8 – This is the eighth MotoGP™ win for Ducati at the Red Bull Ring, which is the most successful track for the Bologna factory.

7 – With Pecco Bagnaia winning at the Austrian GP, this is the first time there are seven wins for Italian riders over the opening 10 MotoGP™ races since 2006 with Loris Capirossi, Valentino Rossi and Marco Melandri.

2 – Bagnaia scored a double hat trick (pole, both wins, fastest lap in both the Sprint and GP race) for the second time so far this year along with Mugello.

2 – Two riders have scored points in all 10 MotoGP™ races this season so far: Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) and rookie Augusto Fernandez (GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3).
