Saturday's Moto2™ action at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya kicked off with an intense Practice 3 time-attack battle. Jake Dixon (Asterius GASGAS Aspar Team) had something special up his sleeve as he pulled out a 1:43.983 to go 0.390s clear of the field. Aron Canet (Pons Wegow Los40) took 2nd place with Ai Ogura (IDEMISTU Honda Team Asia) hot on his tail in P3.

Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing) enjoyed an extremely positive P4 just 0.012s away from the top 3 and 0.054s ahead of Albert Arenas (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in P5. Excluding Dixon, the field were as close as ever with Austrian GP victor Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing) just missing out on the top 5 by only 0.003s.
Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) was only another 0.002s back from Vietti. The Championship leader could only manage P7 with incredibly fine margins making the difference. Fermin Aldeguer (Beta Tools Speed Up) bagged a Q2 spot in P8 ahead of Manuel Gonzalez (Correos Prepago Yamaha VR46 Master Camp) and Alonso Lopez (Beta Tools SpeedUp) who rounded out the top 10.
The final four Q2 spots went to Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team), Jeremy Alcoba (QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2™ ), Joe Roberts (Italtrans Racing Team), and Zonta Van Den Goorbergh (Fieten Olie Racing GP) with Filip Salac (QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2™), Somkiat Chantra (IDEMISTU Honda Team Asia), and Tony Arbolino (Elf MarcVDS Racing Team) missing the Q2 cut.
