Martin becomes 8th Ducati rider to win more than twice in MotoGP™

It's time to wade through some stats from the San Marino GP

There were storylines aplenty at the Gran Premio Red Bull di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, and as the dust settles, why not take a look at some statistics that surfaced from the weekend.

38 – With Martin, Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), Ducati is on a streak of 38 MotoGP™ Grand Prix races in a row with at least one rider on the podium.

9 – The win for Martin is the ninth for Ducati so far this season, which is already three less than the Bologna factory achieved last year (12).

8 – Martin took his third MotoGP™ win along with Styria in 2021 and Germany this year, becoming the eighth different Ducati rider to win more than twice in the class.

7 – Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) finished P7 in Misano, which is his best result in a GP race since he was also seventh in Malaysia last year. His other two finishes this season, Austria and Barcelona, were P12 and P13 respectively.

5 – Martin took the win for his fifth podium so far this year, which means he already has more podiums this year than any of his previous seasons in MotoGP™.

5 – With Martin, Bezzecchi and Bagnaia, this is the fifth all-Ducati podium this season along with Argentina, France, Italy, and Germany.

4 – Wildcard and MotoGP™ Legend Dani Pedrosa (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) finished P4 as the top KTM for his best MotoGP™ result since he took his most recent win, which was the 2017 Valencia GP.

2 – Martin did the double at the San Marino GP – taking both the Tissot Sprint and GP victories – for the second time along with the German GP earlier this year.

1 – With Augusto Fernandez (GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3) failing to score in P16, only one rider has taken points in all the opening 12 MotoGP™ races of the season: Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™).
