Alberto Surra has made a name for himself in both regional and national competitions. 5th in the CIV Pre-Moto3 in 2018, he finished the following two years as runner-up in the CIV Moto3. In 2021, the Bardahl VR46 Riders Academy team offered him the possibility of a wildcard at Mugello, and following this, the Rivacold Snipers team decided to count on him to fill the gap left behind by Filip Salac’s move to Pruestel mid-season. The Turin-born rider inherited the handlebars for nine races in total, scoring a point at the Algarve GP. 2022 sees him remain with the same side for a full season.
