FlexBox HP 40, the team led by two-time World Champion Sito Pons, presented its renewed project for the 2020 season with strong pairing Lorenzo Baldassarri and Hertor Garzo.
Lorenzo Baldassari: “The season is about to begin and we are already in Jerez to get back on the bike. This is the third season with Pons Racing and we have renewed the project with a new technical team and this is interesting. I am very happy and I want to start working together since the novelty always gives you extra motivation. The goal of the season is to start well. If we do it like last season it would be perfect, and then improve the second part of the championship. We must be constant every race, keep speed all season and be fighting for victory, and that will surely bring us closer to being able to fight for positions of honour at the end of the year.”
Hector Garzo: “I am very happy to start the season now. This winter I have prepared 100% to arrive in the best possible conditions. 2020 is an interesting year with the jump to the Moto2 World Championship. The positive is that I could already test the bike at the end year and now we must work on it little by little, but the feeling is very good. We will try to adapt to everything new as quickly as possible and with the help of the team I'm sure it will be all easier. I want to thank Sito and the sponsors for this opportunity and I will give my everything to do the best.”
Sito Pons, Team Principal: “Presenting the team one more season is always special. This year we have a present and future bet; we repeat with Lorenzo Baldassarri, whom we already know well. Together we have won races and the Team World Championship last season, we have led the championship, and the goal of this season is to do it again, be regular and constant and this will lead us to be in the fight for the riders' title. On the other side of the box will be Hector Garzó, a young fast and talented driver, a bet in the future and we welcome him to the team. The truth is that in his first test he left us all impressed by his speed and on our part we will give him all the tools and facilities so that he is calm and can exploit his talent. Both riders will give us many joys this season. Again, the FlexBox HP 40 is possible thanks to the trust of our partners in the project. Without them it would not be possible so I want to thank them one more season for their support. Now it's our job to give it back with great racers so we can enjoy it together.”
