Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) earned top spot in Q1 at the Oakley Grand Prix of Italy thanks to a time of 1:45.924. The Spaniard will be joined by Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) who was just a tenth off the lead.
It was disappointment for Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP), as the session favourite fell short at the final corner as he look destined for pole, running it wide and off-track limits. He will start from P13 on the grid.
