#2020awaits: Valencia Test next on the billing

Yet another phenomenal MotoGP™ season has ended in Valencia, but don’t fret: 2020 is almost here

Marc Marquez topped off an almost impeccable 2019 season by winning in Valencia and handing Repsol Honda Team the triple crown. Now though, MotoGP™ 2019 is a thing of the past as the 2020 Valencia preseason Test gets underway on Tuesday 19 November.

Brand-new machinery will be making its debut on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo as every manufacturer aims to put a halt to Marquez’ recent domination. Ducati Team have vowed to bring an all-new Desmosedici to Valencia as they go in search of the crown, with Suzuki and Yamaha needing that little extra horsepower – without losing their superior corner speed – to mount a season-long title challenge. Aprilia will also be debuting a brand-new RS-GP, and KTM will come armed with further upgrades as they continue to close the gap to the leading quartet of manufacturers.

The excitement also lies with the different spec of machinery the riders will be getting their hands on. Rookie of the Year Fabio Quartararo will be on a full factory spec Yamaha M1, as will Petronas Yamaha SRT teammate Franco Morbidelli. Four GP20s will be on the grid too, with Pramac Racing’s Francesco Bagnaia – if passed fit to ride – will join Andrea Dovizioso, Danilo Petrucci and Jack Miller on factory spec Ducatis.

Will the Honda be an easier beast to tame? Who will be riding the Repsol Honda alongside Marquez at the test? How will Brad Binder and Iker Lecuona – after a mightily impressive Valencia weekend - get on with the 2020 KTM? There are so many questions as the excitement for 2020 is close to boiling point already.

The best thing? You can keep up with every ounce of the action across the two days with VideoPass. 10:00-17:00 local time (GMT+1) is when you can watch the riders on track for the first time in 2020, with rider reactions also available after each day.
