Barbera back up to speed for Argentina

Avintia rider healing well and training harder

Héctor Barberá (Reale Avintia Racing) had a tough season opener as he continued to recover from a broken collarbone, but the Spaniard has since had much more time to heal as the paddock prepares to set sail west for Argentina and Termas de Rio Hondo.

Now almost back up to strength and training harder, Barbera is looking for a good result despite the complication – with a P5 last year a good indication of what could be possible.

Hector Barbera: "We came to Argentina much stronger physically than in Qatar, and the collarbone is practically fully recovered and I have been able to train harder in the last few days. We have very different expectations from the first race, the circuit I really like, last year I finished fifth and I think we can do it very well. A result like Qatar doesn’t show our worth, we are going to push and I think we can have a great race on Sunday."
