Tattershall Karting Circuit in Lincolnshire played host for the third round of the 2018 Cool Fab British Minibike Championship, with the venue’s debut on the calendar blessed by sunny skies and clear weather. The championship is the newest path on the Road to MotoGP™, and Round 3 of the season didn’t disappoint!
The MiniGP50 races once again saw Casey O’Gorman at the front of the field, taking three wins from three to extend his winning streak this season to nine. Following him home in all three races was Amanuel Brinton, whilst James Cook - younger brother to British Talent Cup winner Max Cook - showed great progress with a 5th, 4th and finally, a 3rd. Also making the podium in Race 2 were Thomas Gomes and Kyle Payne.
MiniGP50 Standings:

O’Gorman also took three wins in the MiniGP70 class, and Calum Beach had a fantastic weekend, finishing 3rd in the opening two races and fifth in the final one. Sean Able was another rider to mount the podium, with 2nd place in Race 2. Bailey Stuart-Campbell was a race leader until a small but frustrating crash in the second race, but he came away with a 2nd place in Races 1 and 3. Evan Belford also put in a noteworthy performance from the back of the grid to finish 6th in Race 2 and an incredible 3rd in Race 3!

The LC40 Elites didn’t fail to provide thrilling action either, with Bailey Stuart-Campbell having his Championship lead whittled away by the opposition. A red-flagged Race 1 saw Amanuel Brinton take his first win in Cool Fab this season, whilst Casey O’Gorman won both Race 2 and Race 3. Championship leader Stuart-Campbell comes away from Tattershall with two 3rd places in Races 1 and 3, and a 2nd in Race 2. Ollie Walker also had a stellar weekend, picking up 39 points and returning to the podium with a 3rd place in Race 2 two for the first time since round one.

The AC40 Pros proved to be an exciting weekend waiting for the pendulum to swing in either Jonny Garness’ or Mason Foster’s direction. Jonny Garness would seal the deal and retain his lead at the top of the championship, winning all three races. Mason Foster would finish 3rd in Races 1 and 3, with a 2nd in Race 2. Sullivan Mounsey made a welcome return to the podium with two 2nds in Races 1 and 3, and Troy Jeffrey took to the rostrum in Race 2 with 3rd.

Finally, in the AC40 Rookies, Samuel Munson took three out of three from his third pole of the season, and Olly Horner enjoyed his best results of the season with a 2nd in Races 1 and 3. Warwick Brady was 2nd in Race 2 and Ruben Bray had two 3rds – in Races 1 and 2 – with series leader Henry McCartney taking just one podium this weekend with a 3rd in the final race.
