Are you ready for a trip to the Sachsenring?

A fantastic mix of artistic, architectural and historic treasures: the German GP and Saxony is a must visit

The HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland should be one of the top destinations for any MotoGP™ fan. Racing has taken place in Chemnitz - the area where the Sachsenring is nestled - since the 1920s before the modern circuit of the Sachsenring was built in 1996.

Germany is a rich mixture of tradition and modernity, and the state of Saxony – where you’ll find the Sachsenring – is host to three sizeable cities that have undergone great changes over the course of modern times: Dresden, Leipzig and Chemnitz. As well as the hustle and bustle of the city, Saxony boasts picturesque lakes, forests and parks to give you a breath of fresh air.

Germany, in general, has undergone great changes but a legacy of artistic, architectural and historical treasures have been left in its wake – including Berlin, one of Europe’s greatest cities.

The Sachsenring always attracts huge crowds and it’s a country that loves motorcycle racing, so being there for a Grand Prix weekend is an opportunity to jump at. Check out’s destination guide to plan your trip to the German GP!
