Catalan rider Jordi Carchano made his Grand Prix debut in 2003, taking a promising fifth at Barcelona. The same year he took second in the 125cc Spanish Championship and moved on to Grand Prix racing for good in 2004. The youngster from Sant Quirze del Valles was only 31st overall but second best rookie. This year, he will continue his GP career with Jorge Martinez Aspar 125cc outfit.
