Faubel’s first full season in the World Championship came in the 250cc category in 2002, in which he rode for three seasons before a switch to 125s for 2005. He enjoyed instant results as his first podium finishes came, and in 2006 he placed third overall, ending 2007 as runner-up by five points to Aspar team-mate Gabor Talmacsi. The 2008 and 2009 seasons saw Faubel again riding in 250s, and in 2010 he took part in the new Moto2 class riding for Marc VDS. It was not a successful switch for Faubel however as he placed 26th overall, and for 2011 he returned to the Aspar team to ride in 125s, where he finished fifth. He remains with the Bankia Aspar team on board a Kalex KTM in Moto3 in 2012.
