Celestino Vietti (SKY Racing Team VR46), fresh from his best Moto2™ finish last time out at Misano, finished P4 on Friday morning, with Hector Garzo (Flexbox HP40) grabbing P5 on his final lap. Early into FP1, Augusto Fernandez (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) and Ai Ogura (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) crashed at Turn 1, thankfully both riders were ok.
