Miquel Pons was Balearic Champion of MX minicross and supermotard minicross in 2006. In 2007 he became Champion of MX 65cc, a title that he held onto in 2008 before moving to speed, where he continued his winning streak to become Balearic Champion of 125GP in 2010. In 2013 he jumped to the FIM CEV Repsol to compete in Moto2™ in Stock 600, where he took the category title. After running two years with Inmotec and achieving Top 10 finishes, he signed for Team Nobby H43 to compete in the RFME CEV in Stock 600 in 2016. He was runner-up in his debut year behind Augusto Fernández. In 2018 he was 2nd again, this time just 4 points behind Marc Alcoba, in a year in which he returned to the Moto2™ European Championship. In 2019 he was runner-up again for the fourth consecutive season, this time after Óscar Gutiérrez. That same year he achieved his best result in the Moto2™ European Championship, with 6th overall and two podiums. At the same time, he was doing wildcards in the Supersport World Cup: one in 2017, another in 2018, another in 2019 and 4 in 2020, where he achieved two ninth positions. In 2020 he made his debut in the ESBK Superbike category, first as a replacement for Jordi Torres at the Laglisse Honda, where he took the podium on his debut, and after missing a race, with the Kawasaki of Team Speed Racing, to take two more podiums and finish the year 6th overall. In 2021, Pons debuted in the MotoE™ World Cup with LCR E-Team and proved a shock winner at the Catalan GP. In 2022, the Spanish rider showed more consistency, securing four podium finishes and a Top 4 placement in the overall standings. However, against all odds, the 2023 season proved to be less successful. Despite his efforts, Pons failed to secure any podium finishes and his best result was a Top 4 finish in Austria, resulting in him finishing 12th overall. Looking ahead to 2024, there is anticipation for a season where the Spanish rider can rekindle his form and aim for greater achievements alongside AXXIS-MSI.
