レプソル・ホンダ・チームのマルク・マルケスは、右上腕骨骨折から復帰してから５戦目となったホームレース、第７戦カタルーニャＧＰで１４年目のキャリアで初めて３戦連続の転倒リタイアを喫した後、バルセロナ-カタルーニャ・サーキットに延滞してオフィシャルテストに参加。エアロダイナミクスやセットアップのテストプログラムに取り組んで最多の８７ラップ、３.６レースに相当する距離を周回して１１番手。
今週末は、軽量級のタイトルを獲得した２０１０年から１０年連続、最高峰クラスに昇格した２０１３年から７年連続してポール・トゥ・ウインを達成したザクセンリンクに乗り込む。
「月曜のテストの後、この数日間はパワーを回復するためにしっかりと休息を取った。テストで沢山の作業に取り組み、いつもライディングを楽しんだザクセンリンクに向けて準備を整えた状態で到着する。」
「今年は、もちろん、状況が異なるけど、身体的な観点からより戦闘的になれることを期待する。何が起こるのか見てみよう」と前向きな姿勢を復帰６戦目を迎えることを語った。
