Marc Marquez to take part in FP4

The eight-time World Champion will be on track in Jerez ahead of qualifying

Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez will take part in FP4 at the Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucia, after consulting with his team after FP3.

The World Champion completed 18 laps this morning, 1.298 seconds adrift of the fastest lap, as he returned to the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto six days on from breaking his right humerus at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Speaking ahead of FP4, Repsol Honda Team Manager Alberto Puig said: "The plan is to try again and see if he can do more laps. This morning was like, let's say contact, to see if he could ride. Now the second step is to see how much he can ride – race distance. Of course we will not do many many laps, but at least to see if he can do 6/7 laps in a row, it would be a step."
