KTM's Guidotti gives huge hint over Oliveira's future

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing boss Francesco Guidotti admitted "there'll be no problem" in agreeing a new deal with the Portuguese star

Speaking to motogp.com’s Jack Appleyard on Friday at the Gran Premio Michelin® de la República Argentina, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager Francesco Guidotti discussed the potential of Miguel Oliveira remaining alongside Brad Binder into 2023 and beyond.

The South African is one of four riders on the premier class grid who currently have a contract signed until at least the end of 2023. Binder will remain a Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider until at least the end of 2024, with Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team), Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) also sorted contract wise.

With silly season rife in the paddock due to the majority of riders’ contracts ending at the end of this season, Guidotti made it clear that both Oliveira and KTM are happy with each other, indicating that it’s likely we’ll see no change in the Austrian factory’s line-up in 2023.

“Yeah I think with Miguel there is a very good relationship, we trust in him, he believes in the project and I don’t think there will be any problem to go ahead together,” said Guidotti.

It’s a case of waiting to see when we’ll find out who partners Binder in the factory KTM garage next season, but the signs point towards it being a familiar number 88.
