Rain halts Acosta's Jerez MotoGP™ outing

An end of year treat sadly wasn’t to be for Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) as rain meant he couldn’t head out on KTM’s RC16 MotoGP™ machine for a few laps of the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto at the end of a private test day.

Acosta was in Jerez for a private test alongside new teammate Albert Arenas, Moto3™ Red Bull KTM Ajo riders Deniz Öncü and Jose Antonio Rueda, plus three-time World Champion and KTM Test Rider Dani Pedrosa. The MotoGP™ outing for the 2021 Moto3™ World Champion couldn’t come to fruition, but it was a solid day’s work on board his Moto2™ bike nonetheless – 76 laps were completed in preparation for 2023.

The opening Moto2™ and Moto3™ Official Test of the 2023 campaign will take place in Portimao from the 17^th to 19^th of March, shortly after Acosta and Arenas have taken part in another Jerez private test on the 14^th and 15^th of March.
