Morbidelli declared fit for Qatar GP

The Italian has passed medical checks and will return to action this weekend at the season opener after missing pre-season testing.

After passing medical checks in Qatar, Franco Morbidelli has been declared fit and will return to action at the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar. The Prima Pramac Ducati rider passed his medical test on Thursday to compete throughout the opening round of the MotoGP™ World Championship. It is a big year for Morbidelli as he makes the switch from Yamaha to Ducati this season.

The Italian has yet to ride the Ducati GP24 after a training crash in Portimao caused the #21 to miss both the Sepang and Qatar pre-season Tests. On March 2nd Morbidelli underwent an MRI scan, which gave “favourable results” before getting the all-clear to fly to Qatar to get declared fit by the circuit's medics.
