Makar Yurchenko was born in Sant Petersburg, Russia into a Kazakhstani family and originally started racing ATVs at the age of ten before moving to motocross one year later and taking a series of podium finishes across various national categories. Yurchenko moved to road racing for 2013 and competed in the Spanish national PreMoto3 class alongside racing in various disciplines in Russia, where – in the latter – he claimed 11 victories. 2014 saw the Kazakhstani rider race in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the Moto3™ Junior World Championship, however a huge crash and prolonged recovery period only allowed him to return just before the season’s end. He would continue competing in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for the next two years alongside Moto3™ Junior World Championship duties, claiming his first podium at the opening round of 2017 in Albacete. A string of impressive results throughout the year saw Yurchenko progress to the Moto3™ World Championship in 2018 at CIP on a KTM, but he didn't complete the season. For 2019 he returns full time, at BOE Skull Rider Mugen Race.
