Axel Bassani got a podium in STK600 in 2015 before competing in the FIM Europe Supersport Cup on the WorldSSP grid in 2016 with San Carlo Team Italia. Winning that Cup and with some notable overall results in the Championship including a fourth and a fifth, Bassani moves to Moto2™ for 2017 with Speed Up.
