Miller: “I can’t wait to see Tito’s face”

Jack Miller is expecting a strong weekend in Mugello, and a priceless look on his teammate’s face down to Turn 1.

The French GP was another hard weekend for Jack Miller, the Australian crashing out of a potential top ten finish. Unfortunate as the fall may have been, Miller did prove that he has the race pace to be in the points despite a still healing ankle. Returning to finishing races and scoring points will be Miller’s main objective for the weekend. The Honda has been an aggressive beast to attempt to tame in 2016, but Mugello should suit it better than the tight and twisty Le Mans circuit. As with many young riders, the Australian seems to be on the cusp of a stream of great results, just needing the first top ten to open the floodgates.  Sometimes in life there’s more than racing, even for Jack Miller. He arrives in Mugello ready to race and excited to see the look on Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS teammate’s face as Tito Rabat runs across the crest of the straight in sixth gear before diving on the brakes for Turn 1.

Jack Miller: "The outcome of the race in Le Mans was not what we wanted but I am actually feeling really good about my race pace. We need to work more on our outright speed but I think Mugello will be a little easier for our package. The key goal will be to finish the race and be as strong as possible throughout the weekend. Mugello is an awesome track and the top speed we get to on the straight is pretty scary and impressive. I can’t wait to see Tito’s face the first time he goes over that crest in sixth gear and then has to pull it up on the brakes for turn one. I’m looking forward to riding there and getting the result I think our speed deserves this season.”
