Austria-based Red Bull has been the Official Energy Drink partner of the Repsol Honda Team for the last two seasons, and has announced the continuation of the collaboration for a further two seasons – until the end of 2018.
The decision to continue together is testimony to the success of the partnership, which will see the Red Bull logo on the livery of the Honda RC213V machines of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa until the end of 2018.
Both Marquez and Pedrosa have a long history with the energy drink, with Pedrosa having been a Red Bull athlete for 14 years – since 2003 – and Marquez since 2008. With Red Bull, the two have won a combined 7 world titles and taken more than 100 Grand Prix victories.
The next race for the two to add to the tally in the ongoing partnership is at the energy drink’s home race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, as Marquez looks to add to his championship lead.
