Marquez rested and ready for round 11

Championship leader heading back to Brno ready to fight for the podium

It was a difficult weekend for Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) at the Austrian GP, as the points leader had a large crash in FP3 that briefly dislocated his shoulder, and then found the pace of the Movistar Yamaha and Ducati Teams hard to match in the race. Marquez crossed the line P5 however to take another good haul of points, and ensured that his fellow titles rivals weren’t too far up the road – with both Yamaha riders directly in front of him on track. Heading to Brno the turf is familiar once again, and Marquez’ good record at the track should set him up for a good weekend at the Czech GP.

Marc Marquez: "We had a challenging weekend in Austria but we did the best we could and, all things considered, we were able to get away quite well. The shoulder didn’t bother me during the race but it was a bit sore afterward, so these couple of days before Brno have been good to rest a bit. Brno isn’t one of my favourite tracks but we’ve been able to get some good results there in the past. We must be really focused and work well in order to be able to fight for the podium again."
