Day of Champions kicks the #BritishGP into gear

Two Wheels for Life event returns to Silverstone to aid those less fortunate in Africa

Lucio Cecchinello, LCR Honda, Day Of Champions, Octo British Grand Prix

MotoGP™ is a proud partner of not-for-profit organization Two Wheels for Life, which supports sub-Saharan African communities in the delivery of medicines and medical supplies - on two wheels. Flagship event Day of Champions has been a SIlverstone stalwart for many seasons and returned in 2016 once again to benefit the organization, with a host of MotoGP™ superstars heading over to the Main Stage to meet the fans - and auction their one of a kind items. With an incredible array of items that cannot be found in even the most niche memorabilia store, the auction gives fans a chance to buy a completely unique part of racing history - and all in aid of a fantastic cause.

Valentino Rossi, Movistar Yamaha MotoGP, Day Of Champions, Octo British Grand Prix

Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda), fresh from his recent historic win in Brno, was one of the key attractions for British fans at the event and took to the stage to an incredible reception. The Brit wasn't the only one whose presence was appreciated, with everyone getting in on the action, from Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) and Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) to Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) and reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP). Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) was even on the stage to add his support to the initiative, despite being unable to ride in his home GP due to injury.

All the proceeds from the incredible event go to Two Wheels for Life, so make sure you check out some highlights from the stage:
