Home race frustration for Redding

OCTO Pramac Yakhnich rider misses out on the points at home Grand Prix

Things did not go to plan for Scott Redding at his home round, with the Briton crossing the finish line in 17th place, having remounted after a crash early in the restarted second race.

Redding crashed after two laps while fighting for the top 8 but would not give up and rode valiantly in front of his British fans to finish the race, even if he would leave Silverstone empty handed on this occasion.

Scott Redding: “It is a pity. I started very well in the first race. In the second race, something changed, I felt I had less feeling. I crashed without any warning from the bike. It can happen. I am sorry it happened here. But we never give up! I continued until the end, even though it was not easy. I wanted to thank my fans who supported me lap by lap.”
