Lorenzo: "Misano is one of my favourite tracks"

Reigning champion focusing on race-by-race hard work

Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) had a difficult race at Silverstone circuit despite his incredible record at the track, and goes into the Gran Premio TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini looking to bounce back quickly. It couldn't be a better venue for the 'Spartan' to arrive needing a turnaround at however, as Lorenzo has been on the top or second step of the podium every single time he's completed a MotoGP™ race at the Italian circuit. With one DNF in mixed conditions in 2015, the scene is set for an almighty showdown behind enemy lines, with Lorenzo more focused than ever and thinking race-by-race. It may be Rossi's hometown - but Misano has proved more often to be 'Lorenzo's Land'.

Jorge Lorenzo: "Silverstone was another disappointing race where we could have gotten a good result. We struggled the whole weekend and finally we used a different setting for the race and it worked worse than we expected. However now it‘s time to forget about what happened in the past and focus on the next Grand Prix in Misano. This is one of my favourite tracks, so let‘s see if we can turn the tide. Right now the only thing we can do is work even harder and try to get the best result possible. I don‘t want to think about the championship because it‘s very difficult."
