Pedrosa gaining confidence ahead of Misano

Silverstone results and information getting the Repsol Honda rider back at the front

Dani Pedrosa's (Repsol Honda Team) 102 premier-class podium finishes show the 3-time world champion is not only one of the most experienced on the MotoGP™ grid, but also most successful. The rider from Sabadell has had an uncharacteristically tough beginning to the 2016 season however; finding grip and confidence the biggest issue with the regulation changes over the winter. Despite this, Pedrosa has still added to his podium tally during the year, but had a difficult mid-season that Silverstone started to put right. Qualifying in fourth and outqualifying teammate Marquez for the first time in 2016, Pedrosa was fighting at the front in both the wet and dry, despite the cool temperatures in the UK. The plan for Misano is the same: use the hopefully drier and more useful track time to keep pushing forward.

Dani Pedrosa: “We arrive in Misano from a race that helped us to gain a little bit more confidence and motivation. Lap by lap, I was better able to understand our strong points and weak points. We need to keep the same style in the next race weekend, focusing in the practices, not making too many changes on the bike and working to understand how to use the tyres better, choosing those that adapt better to the track. We must remain completely focused on the job.”
