VR46 “not very happy” on Day 1

Movistar Yamaha rider looking for more in the #QatarTest

Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) had an up and down Day 1 of testing at Losail International Circuit, ending the first session in P7 on a 1:55.679 - half a second back on teammate Maverick Viñales – but with some positives to be found, with improvements made on corner entry,

Undertaking some more experimentation and identifying tyre life as something to work on, the nine-time World Champion is searching for more on Day 2 as work continues for the premier class.

Rossi: "I'm not very happy"

Valentino Rossi, P7: “Today we worked on the feeling of the bike especially on the entry of the corner. We improved, but I‘m not very happy. We are not at 100%, because I didn‘t have enough feeling to push on the entry, but today wasn‘t so bad and we tried something quite interesting. We also had a bit of trouble with the front tyre life, the tyre is a bit too soft, so we have to work on the weight distribution. The condition of the track usually changes a lot here in Qatar, so we will try to continue our work tomorrow and try to make things better.”
