Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) was hoping for a little more pace at the Circuit of the Americas, but the Italian did move up one from his grid position to finish the race P6 and top Ducati - after losing that honour in qualifying to teammate Jorge Lorenzo.
Previously a podium finisher at the circuit, ‘DesmoDovi’ expected a little more and says it confirms that there’s still a lot of work to do for the Italian factory.
Andrea Dovizioso, P6: “This was a difficult weekend and also in the race we never had the pace that we had hoped for. Pity, because I expected more from this GP, but the result confirms that unfortunately we still have a lot more work to do in order to resolve certain limits of our bike and to be able to stay up there ahead with our rivals at every circuit.”
